Entry Level Work/Jobs: Flower Delivery (Video #1 of 4)

This video was part of an experiment, a few years ago, with using a cell phone as a dash cam. So, you want to deliver flowers? Great! The first main task is to secure the flower arrangements, so they won’t topple and spill while you’re driving; arrangements can be top-heavy. But, no matter how well secured the arrangement is, many arrangements are in vases, nearly-filled with water. So, it’s best to avoid braking hard or zipping around tight corners; you don’t want water splashing out of the vases. So, it’s a good idea to maintain at least a safe driving distance. Some flower shops will have a company vehicle for you to drive. Some flower shops rely on the drivers to provide their own vehicles. If you’re using your own vehicle, it’s important to keep up with quality maintenance on your vehicle; the miles can add up very quickly. As this video shows, it’s not uncommon for four or five songs to play while you travel from delivery spot to delivery spot. The songs on this leg of the run are:
0:26 – 4:04 Lonely Nights by Bryan Adams
4:06 – 7:06 Proud Mary by Creedence Clearwater Revival
7:07 – 11:48 Cherrybomb by John Mellencamp
18:30 – 21:35 Hold On Tight by ELO
The video also shows that delivery driving can be pleasant work, especially on a beautiful day. Delivery driving can also involve running deliveries during bad weather, too. So, the working conditions aren’t always as pleasant as in this video. Nonetheless, a job can provide income-yielding gainful employment.
