5. Nazi gold train 1945:
It is believed that in the year 1945, by end of World War II, a train or trains left Breslau (now Wrocław) filled with gold and other treasures by the German Army. As a part of Nazi secret project Riese the trains were driven by tunnels under Owl Mountains near Wałbrzych.
Rumours are there that the trains were holding gold, gems, weapons, and jewelleries up to 300tons. The trains are believed to be buried near the Polish city of Wałbrzych, which was the German city of Waldenburg till 1945.
Treasure hunters Piotr Koper and Andreas Richter had claimed that they have located the train by using ground penetrating radar. However scientists, Geologists and experts are yet to get convinced that the trains are really located even though they are ready to believe the existence of tunnel.
4. The Flor de la Mar-Treasure:
This is considered to be the largest naval treasure ever lost in history.“The Flor de la Mar” known as the flower of the Sea was a Portuguese ship of 400 tons was built in Lisbon in the year 1902.
In 1511 captained by “Alfonso de Albuquerque” The Flor de la Mar along with four other ships started to sail from Malacca to Portugal, loaded with vast treasures like Diamonds, gold, silver, Rubels etc along with the tributes from the King of Siam.
Hit by a violent storm, The Flor de la Mar was shipwrecked on the reefs of Sumatra and broke in to two causing the lost of all the treasures by the waves of the storm.
Treasure Hunter Robert Marx has reportedly spent somewhere around million trying to locate Flor de la Mar, however yet to find it.
3. Leon Trabuco’s Gold:
In the year 1933, when USA was in depression Leon Trabuco & his four partners thought dollar will devalue in United States & the price of the gold will increase & that time they can smuggle gold to USA.
The team bought up much of Mexico’s gold reserves & melted the gold coins and jewellery in a Mexican foundry and collected almost sixteen tons of gold & transported to a region near the Ute and Navajo Indian Reservations in New Mexico by a pilot named Red Moiser.
In 1934 gold act, private ownership of gold was made illegal and Trabuco could not sell any gold. Ultimately over the years Trabuco & all the partners were found dead.
Ed Foster searched for Trabuco’s treasure in the desert around Farmington, New Mexico. Though he found the landing strip used by Red Moiser on a plateau called Conger Mesa but no one could find the treasure.
2. Treasure of Lima:
In 1820 when the war of independence started in Peru, the Governor of Lima planned to ship its treasures to Mexico to be kept safe.
Captain William Thompson, commander of the Mary Dear, was put in charge of shipping the the treasures to Mexico.
The shipping team buried all the treasures worth up to £160 million in the Cocos Island off the coast of present day Costa Rica, & went missing till the situation had calmed down.
When they were caught and went on trial for piracy, they managed to escape to the jungles & since then neither they found nor the treasure.
Hundreds of treasure hunters most notably August Gissler, tried to find the treasure but no one succeeded yet.
1. KING JOHN’S TREASURE:
When British King John, lost to French king he was forced to travel to Lynn to stay via a safer route “The wash” a bay in East England with all their treasures.
It is believed they lost all their treasures worth ,000,000, like crown jewels, silver plates, gold goblets, the sword of Tristram, golden wand with a dove and many gold coins because of the tides & rising water.
Archaeologist and historian Ben Robinson, with the help of technology system LIDAR & modern GPS system are trying to develop the path by which the king has travelled so that the huge treasures can be found.
